Fred Lettieri, 78 years old of Toms River, NJ formerly of Secaucus, NJ and Brooklyn, NY passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
He was born in Genoa, Italy and came to the United States at the age of 2 months.
Fred was the beloved son of Imelde Lettieri (nee Salino) and Alphonse Lettieri and brother of Ronald all of whom predeceased him.
The beloved husband of Karen Lettieri devoted father of Stacy and Daniel and grandfather Alexandria, Ava and Giavanna.
He was much loved by his extended family. His mother-in-law Rose Marie Tormey, sister-in-law Michele and her husband Peter Fornabai, brother-in-law Gary and his wife Victoria Tormey and sister-in-law Elena and her husband Thomas Uschok. Also, his nieces Courtney, Nicole and Molly and nephew Ryan and grandnieces Grace, Stella and Juliet and grandnephews Zachary, Samuel and Logan.
Fred proudly served in the US Army where he made lifelong friends.
He enjoyed horseback riding and playing ice and roller hockey with the leagues in Brooklyn. His favorite pro team was the NY Rangers. Later he became interested in NASCAR and soccer.
He worked for C&D Trucking for more than 40 years. Fred loved his job and his coworkers.
Beyond that he was happiest at home with the people he loved and his mother-in-law's cooking and baking.
Visitation is on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07306 (For GPS Navigation, it is best to use the main parking lot address: 14 Stagg St., Jersey City). Funeral will begin on Thursday, March 5, 2026 10:00 AM at the funeral home. A Religious Service will begin at 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in North Arlington.
